有朋自远方来不亦乐乎？这句论语正是此刻中加师生的心声，圆方亚太区域会议的召开，我们迎来了来自澳大利亚、韩国、新西兰、日本、泰国、印度尼西亚和中国的65名圆方师生代表，各国伙伴相聚中加，共启美妙的圆方亚太区域会议之旅。为保证成员伙伴们的顺利到达，我们的接站队伍一切准备就绪，一次次往返于机场、邮轮码头、高铁站和学校之间，顺利完成全部接站任务，表达了我们对远方客人最诚挚的热情和欢迎，校内接待队伍则早已在圆厅等候，亲切而友好的帮助每一支队伍完成报到工作。
进入到美丽温馨的中加校园，学生领袖们带领着各国伙伴安放行李，参观教室、运动场、图书馆，到餐厅品尝美味的午间茶歇，来自韩国的小伙伴们说：“学生领袖们真的很热情，帮我们搬运行李，真正地相处之后才知道他们的友好”。
来自日本的圆方同学们，则很快的熟悉了中加校园，开心的玩起了篮球和羽毛球，他们热爱运动的精神感染了我们，尽显着运动的畅快与激情。羽毛球场和凉亭里，是环保袋设计活动，各国伙伴们发挥奇思妙想，传递着爱护地球的环保理念。
晚6:30分，各国伙伴来到餐厅，参加以中国春节为主题的特色晚宴，精巧的窗花、对联、中国结和福字，餐厅里萦绕着浓浓的春节氛围，各国伙伴还亲手学习了包饺子，深刻体验中国饮食文化的魅力与智慧。晚8:00是独具西式特色的教师酒会，各国圆方带队教师将相聚一堂，共同分享不同的教育理念和圆方实践经验。
今天，对于远道而来的客人和中加师生，都是精彩、丰富而忙碌的一天，然而，美好的故事才刚刚起笔，我们期待着和各国圆方伙伴们共同书写精彩的中加之旅。
First Day of Australasia & East Asia Regional Conference
It is delightful to have friends coming from afar! Today marked the commencement of the Australasia & East Asia Regional Conference at Shenzhen(Nanshan) Concord College of Sino-Canada(CCSC). The five-day conference was unveiled with the entry of students from seven different countries .
At 10:30 am, foreign friends began to register one after another. School began to become lively and full of vitality. Student volunteers warmly welcomed all delegates and then showed them around the campus: the Multi-functional Hall for essential meetings, the Greeting Room for guests, and sports field and court.
By twelve o 'clock at noon, all the foreign friends had arrived. After unpacking their luggage and having a look of their dormitory, they began to enjoy the authentic, delicious Chinese dim sum. With bilingual food names labeled, our foreign friends achieved a deeper understanding of Chinese cuisine while indulging themselves in the delicacies prepared exquisitely for them.
“They are the most enthusiastic people I have ever met.” The Korean student Jin said. “They helped us take up the luggage and told us where our dorms were. I begin to doubt the stereotype of Chinese people in the media as well as in the words of my parents.”
After lunch, four students were arranged to take these representatives on a tour of our school: brand new indoor playground, basketball court, football field, and golf field, helping them to obtain a general understanding of this beautiful campus. Then on the badminton court and in the pavilions, environmental bag design activities began. Representatives from different countries gave play to their fancies, conveying the concept of environmental protection and caring for the earth.
In the evening, there was a special themed dinner—Spring Festival dinner. The paper-cutting for window decorations, couplets, Chinese knots, fu(which means safe and sound in Chinese) characters, dumplings and other activities made the theme festival atmosphere even more intense.
Apart from students, teachers attending the conference were also in full swing. They communicated about their own understanding of Australasia & East Asia Regional Conference and exchanged ideas on teaching methodology.
The day ended with representatives’ going back to their dormitories. The whole school resumed its vitality and loveliness owing to the arrival of our foreign friends. Now the representatives are in their sweet dreams, looking forward to the next day's activities.
