与中加相遇
想必大家看过很多关于国外大学的电影吧？是不是觉得他们的生活轻松愉快，他们的教育就是边玩边学？这是一个世纪谎言。
以美国为例，他们早就承认电影只是娱乐宣传、自我包装而已，与教育现实没半毛钱关系。一般来说，那为什么中国学生高中苦，到国外读书接着苦呢？因为教育和平台不同。出国读书不仅要求我们掌握英语，学习新知识，还要我们开阔眼界，改变社交圈，让思维多维，让我们都乐在其中。
我和中加的缘分，要从一次偶遇说起。高一，我还在深大附中上学，后来，父母打算送我出国，在选择国际学校时，正好碰上了一位中加家长，他就住我家楼上。他非常认同中加，提到中加优秀的毕业生和百分之百的大学录取率。于是，父母便下定决心将我转学到中加学校。
敬业有爱的中加老师们
来到这里，我才发现中加学校的优势不仅在于成熟的教学体系和AP课程，更在于敬业、有爱的任课老师们。
我们的老师有分层教学理念，如微积分老师徐大侠会单独给一些跟不上的学生布置基础练习题；不同的老师会带给学生不一样的课堂体验，蒋敏老师的第一节物理课是标准、流利的全英文，让学生秒变他的小粉丝。卓越的老师太多，我只列举其中一二，接下来，跟大家分享我的学习经验。
学习的最高境界是理解之上的自学
好记性不如烂笔头，这个学习习惯是真理。很多同学都要学习多门AP，而构建庞大知识体系的第一步是好的忆力。如化学包括微观、宏观电化学和热力化学等。很多单元、很多复杂的知识，没有笔记的帮助如何应对？
但笔记讲究技巧。要准确记下概念、定义类知识；上课时，不能只顾着抄写笔记，要边听边总结，并用自己的思维方式记下其他重要内容，才能真正听懂课；最后一步是总结，老师复习时会总结知识大纲，但我主张在老师大纲的基础上用自己的方式再总结一遍，并与老师的版本对比，找到最适合自己的知识树。
学习的最高境界是理解之上的自学。记得一次，我问普高的朋友“宇宙第一速度和第二速度”，她直接告诉我两个数字，说不知道推导过程，背下来就行了。但理科需要推导、逻辑和理解，我们不能只知其然。高二，在蒋敏老师的指导下，我找来国外大学的原版教材自学AP物理2，既锻炼英语，也提高自学能力，还提前适应了教授传播知识的套路。看pdf版大学教材，记得软件批注以方便复习。
课外活动与成长
再说说我的课外活动和成长改变吧。美国大学非常注重学生的独特个性和综合实力，而那次国际太空城市设计比赛改变并成就了我。身为组长，带着十二名组员边学边做。从发动机、太空站的材料到生活用水、用电和食物，以及整个比赛的核心——捕捉小行星，都是基于现实的脑洞，资料搜索和反复计算得来的。最后，我们完成了40页的英文报告，成功挺进中国区决赛。
其实，活动不在多，而在于持续和投入。我从比赛中学到了如何高效分配、管理团队资源，认识到领导能力和团队协作的重要性。而且，当我们因为热爱而在一个活动中持续付出时，再小的事情也可以变为招生官眼中的闪光点。
学习是一个过程，而不是一次动作。别人的捷径可能是你的弯路，反之亦然。因此，大家不要照搬我的经验与方法，去探寻自己的学习之道吧。风雨中加学霸路，我们在这里等你。
Life in SCCSC
I think you have seen a lot of movies about foreign universities. Do you really feel that their lives are easy and happy, and their education is joyful? This is not true at all.
In the United States, for example, they have admitted that movies are just entertainment and self-propaganda, and they have no relationship with education. While in the reality, studying oversea needs more efforts. Studying abroad not only requires us to master English, learn new knowledge, but also open our eyes, change the social circle, develop critical thinking and at the same time enjoy life.
When in Grade 9 in Shenzhen Middle School, my parents planned to send me to go abroad. I happened to meet a SCCSC parent. He lived upstairs. He mentioned that college admission rate in SCCSC is 100%, therefore, my parents made up their minds to transfer me to the SCCSC.
My teachers
Dedicated and loving, SCCSC teachers are the best school image excepts for systematic and professional AP courses. Our teachers have advanced pedagogy. For example, the calculus teacher Xu Daxia will allocate worksheets and project based on students’ learning levels. Each teacher of SCCSC has their own teaching styles and personal characters like the physics teacher Jiang Min received my fans by building active interaction with students.
Study Independently
It is a truism that a good memory is better than a bad pen. Facing multiple Aps such as chemistry microscopic, macroscopic electrochemical and thermochemical, students must have a good memory. How can you deal with overwhelming units, complicated knowledge without the help of notes?
But taking notes needs skills. It is necessary to accurately record and absorb the knowledge in class. You should not only copy the notes, but also digest, and use your own way to write down the content. In order to truly understand the lesson, the final step is to summarize independently then comparing with teacher’, I will see the differences. It is really a good way to sharpen my mind.
I remember once, I asked a friend "the first speed and the second speed of the universe". She told me two numbers directly. But science needs derivation, logic, and understanding, and we can't just memorize the number. In the second year of high school, under the guidance of teacher Jiang Min, I found the authentic textbooks to learn AP Physics 2. In this way, both English and course knowledge improve at the same time. By the way, one tip: take some notes while you are learning.
Extracurricular Activities
Let me talk about my extracurricular activities and changes. American universities pay great attention to the unique personality and comprehensive ability of students. The international space city design competition changed and shaped me. The engine, space station, the water for daily use, electricity and food were prepared well before the competition. The core of the game – capturing asteroids – are based on realistic brain holes, data searches and iterative calculations. Finally, we completed a 40-page English report and successfully advanced to the China Final. As the leader, I learnt the importance of cooperation and sharing. I benefited a lot from the competition like how to efficiently allocate and manage resources. But the most important is passion, which is the root source of persistence.
Learning is a process, not an action. The shortcut for others may be your detour, and vice versa. Therefore, everyone should not copy my experience and methods but explore your own way.
