很高兴能和大家分享我在中加学校的三年。
我高二时的GPA是96，雅思7分，AP在高二时考了四门，微积分、物理、微观经济和化学，分别拿到的分数是5、4、5、4，现在高三还学了六门，现在已经被多伦多大学和UBC录取。我一直都想去多伦多大学，能去多大，是中加给了我这么好的平台和机会。如果没来中加，我大概去不了多大。

I am very glad to share my 3-year studying in SCCSC. In my second year of high school, my GPA was 96, and my IELTS score was 7. I took 4 AP courses including calculus, physics, microeconomics and chemistry and got scores of 5, 4, 5 and 4 respectively. University of Toronto is always my dream school. It is SCCSC that gives me such a good platform to achieve my dream.
为自己而学习
初中时我绝对不会学习老师布置以外的内容，学习是为了完成任务。现在，我明白学习是为了成为更好的自己。我做不到那么伟大地为民族、国家着想，但我可以试着慢慢负担起家人和自己的未来。我摆正了态度，自学AP生物，利用课下时间，感觉很充实。时刻都感觉自己在变得更好，我很喜欢这样的感觉。生物书很厚，我因为是自学，所以是一页一页地啃下来，大段大段的英文我每句话都要细细地读。当然辛苦，但是我明显地感觉到我的英文阅读能力有了大大的提升。模拟考到4的时候，感觉这些辛苦都值得，很有意义。
When I was in junior high school, I would never learn anything beyond what my teachers assigned me. Now I realized that learning is the way to improve myself and enrich life. Perhaps I can't say I am great to sacrifice a lot for my country, but I can strive to polish my academic performance. I straightened out my attitude, taught myself AP biology, and took advantage of the free time to fulfill all my dreams. Biology is self-taught and almost every day I was struggling with long paragraphs of English with every sentence that is way too hard to digest. Of course, I obviously felt that my English reading ability had been greatly improved gradually. When I got 4 in the mock exam, I felt that all the hard work was worthwhile and meaningful.
雅思靠“练”
对于雅思，其实关键就在于一个字“练”。考雅思没有什么窍门，只要你愿意在雅思上花多时间和精力，那出分就是一定的事。解题方法老师都会讲，但是真正的关键点还是自己的练习。不过练习不仅要有“量”，也要有“质”。对于听力和阅读，每一次练完题改了之后，都要弄清楚错题是错在哪里，自己还没弄懂的知识点是什么，最好再做一个总结归类，保证自己不会第二次犯同样的错误，这才是练习的精华所在。对于口语，每次练习的时候可以录下来，自己说完之后再听听自己的答案，思考哪里可以改进，也可以找老师改。写作也是一样，总之下次练习的时候，表现必须要比这次好，这才是“练”的目的。我总共考了4次雅思，前几次口语和写作一直过不了6分的槛。前面我一直有很认真地学老师教的方法和技巧，每次学完也都觉得受益匪浅，但是分数就一直提不上去，因为我自己课下没有去练。后面我就每天每天地说口语，一篇一篇地写作文，最后终于过了小分。一定要愿意多花时间精力，雅思并不是负担，而是你成为更好的自己的途径。
Perfect practice makes perfect for my IELTS learning
When it comes to IELTS, the key is to practice from my aspect. There is no trick in IELTS as long as you are willing to spend more time and energy on IELTS. The teacher will tell you how to solve the problem, but the real point is to practice. Practice should not only be quantitative, but with high quality. For listening and reading, we should analyze the mistakes we made and summarize the key points after every practice. It is better to keep a notebook covering all the mistakes we made which reminds you not to make the same mistake again. This is the essence of practice but ignored by most students. For speaking, you can record it every time you practice, listen to your answers after you finish speaking, and think about where you can improve, or ask the teacher to help modify. The same is true for writing. Next time you practice and you must do better than this time. That is the purpose of practice. I have taken IELTS for 4 times in total, but I have failed to pass the threshold of 6 points in speaking and writing every time. After I realized that I needed to change my way of practice and finally I benefited a lot from it. After class I practiced speaking, writing essays and finally received my ideal scores. IELTS is not a difficulty that you cannot overcome if you never drive yourself too hard in an efficient way.
AP与GPA
对于AP，其实老师上课时都已经讲的很清楚明白，只要你认真听，并且把不会的地方都弄清楚，就能考出好成绩。重点在于，一旦你发现自己有哪个知识点不明白，一定不能拖，要立刻去解决。先试着自己思考，再去问老师或同学，要保证自己没有知识盲点。
再说GPA，大部分应试教育体系下的学生都只擅长考试，而缺失了运用的能力。所以，上课一定要多发言，养成和老师互动的好习惯，特别是和外教，这样以后到国外大学也会比较好，让老师记住你，很重要。
AP and GPA
AP teachers have emphasized clearly in the beginning of class: as long as you listen carefully and make clear what you don't know, you will get good scores. The point is that remember to solve problems independently when feeling confused. Moreover, most students under the exam-oriented education system are only good at exams but lack the ability to apply it into practice. I highly recommend that you need to speak more with foreign teachers and actively engage in class. It is also a good way to apply your language into real situation. As we all know, first impression is very important and make your teacher remember you is the first step.
正确的选择
现在回想起决定来中加的那一天，我还很感激。我和我的家人做了一个正确的选择，我中考是426分，中考时填的志愿全都是普高，也在普高上了一周的课。但是上了一周课之后，我知道这样的学习生活和学习氛围都不是我喜欢的，如果出国，我能够有更好的发展。但我一时也不知道怎样付诸行动，这个时候我妈妈的朋友以过来人的身份推荐了中加，而我正好又是想去加拿大，所以我就转学过来了。中加对于想去加拿大的学生真很好。中加和加拿大的纽宾士域省合作，有很多与加拿大相关的活动，有很多加拿大的老师，学生能够提前了解加拿大的文化。在中加读书，还能拿到加拿大高中的毕业证，中加确实是很好很合适的选择。
Make right choice
Looking back the day I decided to come to SCCSC, I am still grateful. I think my family and I made a wise decision. I got a score of 426 in the senior high school entrance examination. At that time I thought I would spend the following three years in a regular senior high school. However, after a weeks studying there, I knew that this kind of study life and learning atmosphere was not my preference. If I went abroad to have my university in the future, I must have a bright future. My mother's friend recommended that SCCSC is an international school with high reputation in Shenzhen, and I wanted to go to Canada one day, so I transferred here. SCCSC is a great platform for students who want to go to Canada. Guided by Canadian education system of New Brunswick, SCCSSC has a lot of Canadian teachers and always holds many international activities both in and off campus. Studying here, you can also get the graduation certificate of Canadian high school, which is really a good and suitable choice for you.
感恩遇见
很高兴遇到了这么多好的老师和同学，老师不会放弃任何一个学生，我想这是难能可贵的，同学也都是很棒的人。我不敢说，我会和中加的朋友们一辈子有联系，但我一定会记住他们一辈子，因为每一个人都有太多值得我去喜欢的地方。当时选择中加，因为中加会给我一个很好的留学平台，但我得到的远比这多得多！我得到了令自己欣喜的成长，和那么多美好的回忆，我很感激，回想这三年，我很高兴。
Express my appreciation
I am very happy to meet so many good teachers and classmates here. The teacher will never give up any student. I think this is commendable and my classmates are easygoing. I don't dare to say that I will keep in touch with my friends for the rest of my life, but I will remember them for the rest of my life, because everyone has so many aspects worthy of my love. At that time, I chose SCCSC because it would give me a new platform to open my vision. I am very grateful to have all of them accompanying with my high school life. Looking back on these three years, I am very happy.
